It was a blessed day on 5 September at Sacred Heart Cathedral as Fr Emilio Capin was ordained.
The now-Fr Emilio Capin was ordained by Archbishop Paul. Also present was Cardinal John and the priests of the Archdiocese.

Fr Emilio completed his formation at Holy Cross Seminary, and was welcomed at Masses at Holy Trinity Parish in early July. His Mass of Thanksgiving was at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Island Bay on Sunday, 6 September.
Emilio is from the Philippines. He started his seminary formation in 2020, and prior to becoming priest was ordained to the diaconate in September 2025.
