To celebrate the Bicentenary of the founding of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Cenacle, in La Louvesc, France, 1826, parishioners, friends and ministry colleagues gathered in Te Whaea Tapu o Kapiti, Our Lady of Kapiti parish church on Saturday, 26 September.
The celebration of the Eucharist, led by Archbishop Paul Martin, took place on the Feast Day of their foundress, St. Thérèse Couderc.
This was livestreamed, enabling the international Congregation of Cenacle Sisters, and overseas friends and families to participate.
Following the celebration, everyone joined in supper which included refreshments with a French flavour.
