The ministerial milestones of several of our clergy were celebrated at a Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Wednesday, 29 July. Some of those milestones included:
– Fr Frank Whitaker – 65 years
– Fr David Gledhill SM – 60 years
– Cardinal John Dew – 50 years
– Fr Joe Keegan – 50 years
– Fr Tom Rouse SSC – 50 years
– Fr Simi Volavola MSC – 25 years
In delivering his homily on a sunny winter’s day, Cardinal John said God chooses His priests. This, he added, means there can be no doubt that it is a calling.
We thank God for the gift of clergy, and pray more young men may take up the call to serve His church.
