Eleven participants in the new Mission Leaders Formation Programme gathered for a retreat at the Magnificat Retreat Centre in Featherston, Wairarapa, from 24 to 26 July. The retreat, themed “Come as You Are,” was facilitated by Fr Neil Vaney, SM, and Launch Out graduate, Bernadette Patelesio.

Throughout the three days, participants reflected on their personalities and explored how this shape their spirituality, relationships, and sense of mission. Through prayer, discussion, and personal reflection, they gained a deeper understanding of themselves and how God works through their unique gifts.

The peaceful setting of the Magnificat Retreat Centre provided a welcoming and sacred environment for the group. Its homely atmosphere and tranquil surroundings offered participants the space to pray, reflect, and connect more deeply with God and one another.

The retreat is an important part of the Mission Leaders Formation Programme, which invites them to embrace their authentic selves as they continue their journey of leadership and mission.
