Takaka’s historic marble church seismic strengthening is continuing, and getting closer to completion!
The altar and sacristy are next to finish. There are also the windows to tidy and repaint, and the wooden floor fixed in places. Electrics, lighting and heating investigations are also underway as to the best options.
The St John Paul II Parish wishes to especially thank Byrne Builders for their support under the guidance of Bill Andrew of AMK Engineering with Kees Brinkman, a Golden Bay parishioner, as Project Manager.
It is with great prayerful anticipation that the community looks forward to the official opening.
