Volunteer as a member of the Ecology, Justice and Peace Commission

Are you motivated to contribute to work for justice and peace inspired and informed by Catholic Social Teaching? The Archdiocesan Ecology Justice and Peace Commission and Committees invite applications from throughout the Archdiocese for membership. The Committees at present are Bicultural Relationships, Integral Ecology and Social Equity.

As a member you will work to promote the social teaching of the Church and shine a light on issues of injustice. Activities of the Commission are diverse and include making submissions to parliament, establishing a Housing Forum; organising events for Te Tiriti awareness, the Season of Creation, and World Day of the Poor; and supporting movements such as the Living Wage Movement.

Contact Deirdre Meskill, Engagement lead at d.meskill@cadw.nz, ph 021 2213944 for more information on the Commission and the process for joining us.
